Ingredients

  • 4 bone-in pork chops about 1 inch thick
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Chopped fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  • Season the Pork Chops: Generously season both sides of the pork chops with salt and pepper.
    Sear the Pork Chops: Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the pork chops for 4-5 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
    Sauté the Garlic: In the same skillet, add the minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.
    Deglaze the Pan: Pour in the chicken broth, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom of the skillet. Let it simmer for 2-3 minutes.
    Make the Sauce: Reduce the heat and stir in the heavy cream, Parmesan cheese, and Italian seasoning. Stir continuously until the cheese melts and the sauce becomes smooth and creamy.
    Combine the Pork Chops and Sauce: Return the pork chops to the skillet, spooning the sauce over them. Simmer for 2-3 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
    Serve and Garnish: Sprinkle with chopped parsley and serve warm with your favorite side dish.
