- 2 lbs ground beef (80% lean)
- 2 cloves garlic, diced
- 8 oz tomato sauce
- 2 tablespoons chili powder
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1 teaspoon ground oregano

- ¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper
- ¼ cup masa harina (white or yellow)
- 15 oz kidney beans, drained and rinsed
- 15 oz pinto beans, drained and rinsed

Instructions
- In a large pot over medium heat, brown the ground beef until cooked through. Drain excess grease.
- Add diced garlic and tomato sauce; cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
- Stir in chili powder, cumin, oregano, salt, and cayenne pepper. Reduce heat to low and simmer for 1 hour.
- Combine masa harina with ½ cup of water in a small bowl until smooth; add to the chili to thicken.
- Mix in kidney and pinto beans; simmer for an additional 10 minutes.
