  • 1 ½ cups hot water

  2. In a bowl, whisk together milk, vanilla, and sugar until smooth. Gradually add flour, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon; mix until just combined.
  3. Spoon batter evenly over melted butter without stirring. Sprinkle brown sugar over the top and carefully pour hot water over everything—do not stir.
  4. Bake for 30-35 minutes until golden brown and set.
  5. Mix sugar and cinnamon in a bowl and sprinkle over cobbler right after removing from the oven.
  6. Allow to cool slightly before serving warm with ice cream.
