Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 45 medium potatoes, thinly sliced
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1/2 cup beef broth or water
  • 1/4 cup milk (optional, for extra creaminess)
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, finely chopped

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, heat olive oil. Brown the ground beef (about 5-7 minutes), then add onion and garlic; cook until soft (3-4 minutes).
  3. Spread the beef mixture in the baking dish. Layer sliced potatoes on top and season with salt, pepper, Italian seasoning, and paprika. Sprinkle cheeses over the potatoes and pour broth around the edges.
  4. Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes. Remove foil and bake an additional 15-20 minutes until potatoes are tender and cheese is golden.
  5. Garnish with parsley before serving.
