- 2 cups chicken broth
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 1 ½ cups whole milk
- ½ cup shredded cheddar cheese
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Season chicken with garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Heat olive oil in a large skillet and sear chicken until golden brown (4-5 minutes per side). Remove and set aside.
- In a medium saucepan, bring chicken broth to a boil. Add rice, reduce heat, cover, and simmer for 15-18 minutes. Fluff and set aside.
- In the same skillet, melt butter and whisk in flour until golden. Gradually add milk and broth while whisking until smooth. Stir in seasonings and cheeses until melted.
- Return chicken to the skillet, spoon sauce over it, cover, and simmer on low for about 10 minutes until cooked through.
