- 1 cup (200g) granulated sugar

- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 3 cups (375g) all-purpose flour
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch
- 1 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 3/4 cup (170g) unsalted butter, room temperature
- 3 cups (375g) confectioners' sugar, sifted
- 1/3 cup (67g) light brown sugar, packed
- 1 1/2 teaspoons cinnamon
- 2–3 teaspoons whole milk (as needed for consistency)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 325°F (163°C) and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, mix granulated sugar and cinnamon for coating; set aside.
- Beat together softened butter, shortening, sugar, eggs, and vanilla until creamy. Gradually add flour, cornstarch, salt, baking powder, and cinnamon until dough forms.
- Scoop dough into balls, flatten slightly, roll in cinnamon sugar, and place on baking sheets.
