  • 2 teaspoons ground cumin
  • 1 tablespoon cocoa powder
  • 2 teaspoons kosher salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 ½ teaspoons smoked paprika
  • ½ teaspoon ground coriander
  • 1 tablespoon chili powder
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon garlic, minced
  • Sour cream for garnish
  • Cilantro, chopped for garnish
  • Shredded cheese for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a large pot over medium heat, cook bacon until crisp. Remove and drain excess fat.
  2. Sauté onion and bell pepper in the same pot until tender.
  3. Add ground beef and brown completely; drain grease.
  4. Stir in remaining ingredients: beans, tomatoes, beef stock, and spices. Mix well.
  5. Simmer for at least 45 minutes on medium-low heat, stirring occasionally.
