Ingredients
- 150 g large tortilla chips (about ½ large bag)
- 4 slices bacon, chopped and cooked until crisp
- ½ lb ground beef
- ½ small onion, chopped
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- ⅛ cup + ⅓ cup barbecue sauce
- 3 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- Green onion, lettuce, and tomato for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a medium pan over medium-high heat, cook ground beef and chopped onion until browned; drain excess grease.
- Mix in ⅛ cup of barbecue sauce and set aside.
- On a baking sheet, layer tortilla chips, half of the cheese, beef mixture, bacon, and drizzle with remaining barbecue sauce.
- Add another layer of chips, repeat toppings, and finish with the rest of the cheese.
- Bake for 8-10 minutes until cheese is melted.
